How To Audit Your Marketing For A Winning 2022

Happy festive season! It’s Mitch here, and I don’t know about you, but 2021 absolutely flew by. As we head into the new year it’s a great time to reflect and plan. To make sure your business gets off to a hot start in 2022, here are a few questions you can ask yourself to audit your marketing strategy.

marketing strategy

Marketing Strategy

When it comes to marketing, don't just wing it. You can still keep it simple, but you need at least a basic plan if you want to get results.

  • What's my marketing strategy? Do I have one?

  • Who are my customers and what do they want?

  • What’s the best way to reach them and what channels will we use?

  • What’s my monthly budget and what’s the best way to get the most out of it?

  • What's a new channel or strategy we haven't tried that's worth a shot?

Website & Messaging

When was the last time you refreshed your website? Remember, a good website goes beyond how it looks. The messaging is equally as important and it needs to 'flow' seamlessly.

  • Does it clearly communicate your value proposition?

  • Does it look fantastic with an impressive design?

  • Is the content up to date?

  • Is it mobile optimised?

  • How does it compare to our competitors?

Pro Tip

Imagine the best sales pitch or conversion you've had with a potential customer. Make sure all of that is communicated on your website.

Advertising

If you're running ads, give them a refresh. If you aren't running any, consider setting up a campaign to attract new customers.

  • How are our campaigns performing? Do they need a refresh?

  • What's an offer we could run to attract new customers?

  • What's something successful we did in the past that we could re-activate?

  • What's not working that we should cut out?
